AEPL is an Aviation MRO organisation and is setting up the facilities under the ‘Make in India’ policy of Government of India to provide MRO and Logistic support to Global standards to the Indian Military Aviation.

AEPL has a covered work space of 13500 m2 and infrastructure spread over at Goa and Karwar (Karnataka) as per aviation standards for providing quality repair, overhaul, modernisation, modification, upgrade, Indigenisation and logistic support including future offset partner for the aircraft  and systems of Russian origin held in the inventory of Indian Navy and IAF.

An investment of US$ 10 Mn made till date in creation of above facilities. The facilities are 100 kms apart and are well connected by rail, road, sea and air.

The Repair Overhaul ‘Technical Service Centre(TSC)’ for Russian origin systems is being created through shareholding with Russian OEMs. These facilities are manned by Russian and AEPL specialists and work is being undertaken as per OEM quality and certification procedures. A calibration facility, duly accredited by NABL, is functional in Goa to provide calibration for the test equipment within AEPL as well as other customers including the Indian armed forces. A full-fledged anechoic chamber and environment testing facility has been set up in Goa for testing of modern fire control radars of current generation fighter aircraft.

AEPL has an established capability for indigenous development of testers, ground equipment, repair of electronic and mechanical aggregates of western and Russian origin. The overall capability encompasses support fighter aircraft, helicopters, maritime aircraft and RPAs.

The above facilities will be manned by a team of highly trained, experienced and motivated professionals comprising of engineers, logisticians, administrators, technicians with significant experience of working knowledge on meeting the Quality and certification requirements of Armed forces.

Our Team

AEPL facilities at Goa and Karwar are manned by a team of highly qualified and experienced engineers and supervisors, with more than 35 years of experience in working and managing military aviation, the team is fully conversant with the requirements of technology, quality and safety that go with military aviation.

While in service with the Defence, members of the team held very senior level managerial positions at Repair Depots, Command HQs and Service HQ during which time they managed aircraft fleets by addressing the issues with indigenous and foreign OEMs and sub-vendors. Higher Management executives of the AEPL team are recipients of citations from the President of India for excellence in their line of work during their service in Indian Armed forces

The team has hands-on experience on maintenance of aircraft, air borne equipment and associated ground equipment at all the levels in the Indian Navy (IN) and Indian Air Force (IAF) and calibration at ISO standards, design and development of testers and repair of avionic items.
